Wyeast 2112 California Lager Yeast
Wyeast 2112 California Lager is particularly suited for producing 19th century-style West Coast beers.
Retains lager characteristics at temperatures up to 65° F, and produces malty, brilliantly-clear beers. Apparent attenuation: 67-71%. Flocculation: high. Optimum temp: 58°-68° F

Great yeast..activity was active very quickly
Brewed the Marblehead Lager extract kit with Wyeast 2112. Fermented at about 58 degrees (2 weeks primary, 1 week secondary). The result is just what I hoped. Nice clean crisp lager that's an excellent everyday beer when i want a break from IPAs and stouts.
No off flavors. My amber lager tastes great and tastes like a lager should taste. The best part is that this Wyeast 2112 California Lager yeast ferments at temperatures close to temperatures used by ale yeasts.
I am in the secondary fermentation phase now. All seems well. Smells and tastes like beer.
