This is an easy to use device that allows us to take more control of our brewing process. I was amazed at how much “extra” O2 that I was pumping in to the fermenter. With this upgrade kit, I am now putting in far less with excellent fermentation results. Shipping and service from Northern brewer was excellent.

Necessary to get repeatable results

A healthy fermentation requires oxygen. And if you're going to add something to your brew, even oxygen, you better be able to measure it. Just turning on your O2 tank can lead to variable results. Addind a flowmeter like this allows you to to control your level and flow and make some measureable and repeatable results.

Works well

This is a good tool for the price point and certainly improved the consistency of my oxygenation. I found that by using this within the guidelines I always have a good ferment and my oxygen tanks are lasting longer. I would recommend to anyone looking for a cost effective way to measure their aeration.
