Excellent capper with notable flaws
Like others have noted, the handle sucks. Mine broke within the first couple bottling sessions. Easily fixed with some good glue. Sure I could knock a star off because of this, but I won't because of the overall usability of the capper/corker. The gear system is a bit quirky with the part that keeps it secure. After so many pumps of the arm it becomes loose which requires a tighten. This could be fixed too and perhaps I eventually will.
Why still 5 stars? I bottle with used bottles of a large array of heights, either beer or wine bottles. This capper does an awesome job of capping and I can cover all my bases without extra equipment.
With some extra attention, you can enhance/fix many aspects of this and make this an amazing capper.
I love the consistency I get from bottle caps and corks. Always a great seal.

Amazing and easy
I wish i would have bought one sooner. Capping was so easy and fast. I capped 48 bottles in under 15 min with this thing. Yay. Time saver. I corked a 5gallon batch of a Belgian Triple and once I found the right depth to insert the cork things flew by. I love this piece of equipment

Works great
Made the job of corking much easier. It works great. As noted by other reviewers, you do need to pay attention to the handle nut as it loosens frequently, but I did not find that to be a big deal or major inconvenience. I recommend this product.

Good capper
Good product. Made bottling much easier. Had to watch the one nut at top. Had to keep tightening it. Needs a locking pin to help keep it on place while still making it user friendly.

Works great and does the job.
I first purchased the lever paper and it broke after six bottles. The magnet which holds the cap centered broke. I then purchased the Corona capper and it's been great. I also make BlackBerry wine and the Corona does both corks and caps and even seals and sets the Nomex artificial corks which I love since they last much longer than natural cork and you can set the bottles up right.

Very good, but not perfect.
I have had mine for a few years. I have used it to cap multiple batches of beer in various size bottles. I have also used it to cork multiple batches of wine. It works well for both. This dual role is one of the reasons I bought it originally. Mine has been very durable, I have had no mechanical problems.

A few reviewers had mentioned the handle retention bolt comes loose. It is a plastic retention bolt that allows you to finger tighten the tension on the handle. Just check it when you start a capping/corking session, and a few times during the process and it works well.

By adjusting the base position for various sizes and styles of bottles, you can lessen the work of capping and the depth of corking.

The one complaint I have about it is the bell for capping. The design puts a dent in the top of the cap. I was concerned this would affect the seal, but have not found this to be a problem so far. You also have to rotate or wiggle the cap out of the bell after capping. Again, I worried this would affect the seal, but have not found this to be a problem.

Overall, it was certainly a good choice for it durability, price, adjustability, and dual role.

Works great, instructions are pretty terrible
I recommend you look up a YouTube demonstration on how to use the device, the instructions are confusing. Other than some denting on bottle caps, works like a charm. Made of solid materials and very durable. Solid purchase if you're a wine (mead, in my case) AND beer homebrewer, otherwise stick with a, dedicated, workbench capper or corker.

Handle Breaks Easily...
I have had nothing but problems with this capper since I purchased it. The handle constantly comes out... I have had to resort to using the manual hand capper during every bottling session.

Lasted 2 bottling sessions
The design for this capper is great in theory, but it's made of cheap plastic and the handle is poorly designed. 2 bottles in to my second bottling session, the red handle at the end broke off, then the entire handle broke off. Nothing holds the handle in place, it just fits in to a plastic housing that it easily slips out of. All they need to do to make this a great product was secure the handle properly. Do NOT buy.

Will it cork 500 ml beer bottles?
A shopper on Mar 15, 2017
BEST ANSWER: The 500ml bottle's mouth is too small for Belgian style or wine corks. It can be used with 28 or 30mm crown caps though.
