Wonderfully Danky
This is my go to hop for a variety of hop forward American styles in my recipe book. Personally, I really like Columbus' earthy dankiness for bittering and mid-boil additions to about 40 IBU then finishing with a big dose of a fruitier hop at flameout all on top of a malt-heavy grain bill with MO, munich, victory, or some combination of those malts. Makes for some tasty and complex pale ales. Speedy delivery and fresh, quality product as always with NB.

Earthy Goodness
Columbus pellets hops are great for bittering and flavoring additions for that earthy flavor. NB hops are always fresh.

They came packaged nicely, were very fresh, and it was a great compliment to the beer I brewed. The whole keg got drank in one day during a reception.

It's been described as "dank"
I totally understand the description. I used it in combination with Citra and the final product is potent...it has a distinct aroma of my past...reminds me of days spent disc golfing if you catch my drift.Awesome hop! I'm making a Laguanitas Sucks clone next and I plan on using a bunch of this stuff!

are your Columbus hops the 2016 crop or last years?
V E on Sep 16, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I'd guess ones we have now are from last harvest, as the new ones are probably just being harvested now, or very soon. Pelleted hops store very well in a frozen condition, and can be kept good for years if stored right. -Mike W, Northern Brewer
Why is Columbus & Cascade $6.99 per 8 oz on the internet, but when I went to the store in Milwaukee they charge me $11.99 per 8 oz when I bought 2 1/2 lbs..

BEST ANSWER: Hi Kraig, The prices do sometimes vary between retail on the website. You could ask the store about a price match but that would be up to them.
