Great Flavor Adjunct
I use D-90 in favor of candi-sugar in gluten free brews. Achieves more consistent color and better flavor, in my opinion, than dark candi sugars I've tried.

Great for making a robust porter
I used this in my special Porters. It adds a great color and taste. The color to the head is a darker brown that is dramatic. Love it.

Candi Syrup
In my most recent brew I have tried Candi Syrup's D-90 and D-180. I must say it does give a very nice flavor to the beer and my original gravity was much higher than anticipated. In the past I have relied on caramel malts and my own caramelized beet sugar for color and flavor. These products clearly do a much better job than I have done in the past. They are worth the money.

the D-90 Candi Syrup contains only beet sugar and water.

BEST ANSWER: They are cooked down, so the darker they are the more they are cooked and caramelized.
what is the SRM/Lovi and PPG contribution, so I can calculate properly?

BEST ANSWER: Syrup is 90L but Color will be dependant of when you add the sugar to the boil. I added at 15 minutes to go and came out with a nice deep amber. Ppg is 1.033
