Product Details
Why a keezer? You’ve heard of a kegerator, the ever-convenient way to serve beer on tap. A keezer is a kegerator for serious brewers. With more space for more kegs and taps you can showcase your full lineup of homebrew. Plus, temperature control allows a keezer to serve a triple-purpose—the centerpiece of a taproom, a lagering cooler, and a cooling chamber for cold-crashing your beer before transferring it.

In short, a keezer is a kegerator with unlimited flexibility. Ideal for the serious brewer who is already a kegging king, keezers not only make your taproom professional-quality, you’ll be able to improve the quality of your beer, too.

Kit Includes:
  • Beer Faucet
  • Beer Shank
  • Tap Handle
  • Ball Lock Disconnect
  • Tail Piece
  • Barbed Swivel Nut
  • Hex Nut
  • Beverage Tubing - 5 ft.
  • Neoprene Beer Shank Washer
  • Worm Gear Clamps (2)

This is the perfect way to expand our Draft Brewer® keg systems. Don't forget to add a gas distributor and a ThermoStar Dual-Mode Digital Temperature Controller to complete your build.

great idea to simplify beer faucet installation
This makes ordering the parts to any keezer build simple. Everything you need to move beer from the keg to the faucet. The removable tailpiece on the beer shank simplifies the occasional removal of the shank and faucet for thorough cleaning. Very happy with this kit.

Great product, easy set up
I purchased 5 of these along with gas lines and gas distributor for my new Keezer. Very pleased with how it turned out. Originally had three 5 gallon kegs and two 2.5 gallon kegs in it and these taps have worked very well. I have since added another 5 gallon keg in the keezer with a picnic tap on it. I purchased a 2 way CO2 regulator and have 2 kegs of soda (root beer and vanilla cream soda) on one of the gauges running at higher PSI than my beer gauge. This is step 1 of the keezer....next step is to add a barnwood frame around it along with extended bar top and bar stools (those photos to come later)

Great Starter Faucet
Want to buy a beer dispenser/faucet but are confused by the separate parts? Don't know what a shank, tail piece, swivel nut, or hex nut are or do? Buy this kit and you will be an expert. It has all the parts you need to go from keg to mountable beer dispenser (faucet). Easy assembly and you'll have a full understanding of the parts for the next time you shop.

Beer on tap
All you need to have your kegged beer dispensed from a tap instead of the picnic faucets. The shank was long enough to go through at least 2-3" of material. I recommend the faucet wrench for tightening, you could do it without but it is definitely harder.

Needs spanner wrench.
Overall nice. However it needs a special spanner wrench that is not supplied. Without it you will end up with ugly plier marks on the outside coupling ring.

A crowd pleaser.
Install was easy, they even provide instructions. When I first put the beer line on my keg it leaked a couple ounces of beer until I restored the serving pressure so the seals set. Works like a champ and impresses my friends. If you're going to drill the door of a mini fridge, use a hole saw. I barely succeeded using a spade bit. The metal layer caught on the sides of the spade bit once it punched through and nearly twisted into nasty spikes that would have ruined the project.

I used a small fredg for my cannonball which fits with room for a few special bottles. Drilled through the bottom of the fredg and ran my gas hose through the hole and a home made gasket to the gas bottle which I placed in an old bathroom vanity where I store my glassware. The vanity brings the fredg to a good height for serving and the tap was mounted fright through the door. I did have to reinsulate the fredg door.

BEST ANSWER: Thank you for that feedback. I will forward that to our products team
Is there any reason this would not work through the door of a full sized refridgerator? Assuming I drill through the door at a spot that would fully allow the shank to get through.
D A on Nov 17, 2015

There is no reason why that wouldn't work

that's the set up that I run. I figured why buy an expensive mini fridge or freezer or build a keezer collar when I can modify the fridge collecting dust in the basement.
Could you use this in a full size refrigerator?
T Y on Jan 12, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Hello Tyler,

Thank you for choosing Northern Brewer! You most definitely could use that on a full size refrigerator. Just make sure that the wall thickness of the refrigerator is less than 3 inches so that you can properly install the beer shank through it. I hope that this helps, have a great day!
Will this work on a standard keg (8gallon) from a liquor store or are there adapters needed?
A shopper on Aug 22, 2017
BEST ANSWER: It entirely depends on the keg. These have a specific ball lock, they will work so long as the keg your using has the same valve. Mainly designed for us without a corny keg
What was the glue used at the Keezer video? The glue used to the colar and the top of the freezer?
Many thanks.

BEST ANSWER: Hello Pedro,

Thank you for choosing Northern Brewer! I am not positive which sealant that is, but when I built my keezer I used http://www.homedepot.com/p/DAP-10-1-oz-Flexible-Clear-Sealant-18384/100134278 I have also had friends that used http://www.homedepot.com/p/Liquid-Nails-10-oz-Extreme-Heavy-Duty-Adhesive-LN-907/205089262 I hope that this helps, have a wonderful day!
If you wanted to use your own tap handle - what size tap handle threaded insert would be required?

Is this available with a perlick faucet?
A shopper on Dec 7, 2017
BEST ANSWER: We do not sell this kit with a perlick faucet. Cheers!
Would I be able to fit this in a standard 3" wide tap tower to add an additional tap to my single tap Kegerator? Would the 4" shank on this need to be modified or replace to do so?
A shopper on Apr 13, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Unfortunately, I don't know. I just drilled holes in my keezer and installed them.
is there a way to insulate the line to run from the keezer to a wall mount faucet?
A shopper on Feb 24, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Yes. Get some foam pipe insulation, slit it on one side and wrap it around the keezer line
Can you substitute a Perlick faucet for an additional cost?
R O on Sep 18, 2016
BEST ANSWER: We are not able to do a custom substitution. You can purchase the Perlick separately, then swap them.
I'm building a keezer with a 2x6 collar and 1 inch rigid insulation on the back. Total thickness is 2.5 inches. How long of a shank will I need? and how long is this shank? Is it 4 1/8"? I'm not sure how much extra I should allow on the shank to make my connections easier. I'm not worried about the shank sticking too far into the keezer since I have a large freezer and only two taps (for now).
J O on Dec 28, 2015
BEST ANSWER: This shank is 4.125 inches long, you could use a bit shorter one perhaps. You don't need a lot of extra length on the back of the shank, just enough to connect the tailpiece to it. But if the shank extends a few inches into the Keezer, it will help to keep the shank colder for better pours. So this length can be a very good one for this use.
Is it a 4.125inch shank and " forward sealing" faucet?
J T on Oct 25, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Yes this includes the 4.125" shank. The faucet is not forward sealing.
Is the beverage hose for this 3/16 ID?
P C on Sep 21, 2015
BEST ANSWER: The tubing is 5 feet of 3/16 ID tubing

designed to easily give a foam free pour.
What kind of faucet is in this kit? Are all of the wetted parts stainless steel?
C R on Sep 10, 2015
BEST ANSWER: The faucet included with this kit is the Chrome w/Brass Lever.
Is this available for pin and lock kegs?
P O on Sep 6, 2015
BEST ANSWER: RIght now this kit is only set up for ball lock keg disconnects. If you have pin lock disconnects

you can easily take off the ball lock disconnect on this kit and replace with a pin lock disconnect. Right now

we can only sell this kit as advertised with ball lock disconnects.
