- If you’re pressed for time and need to brew something up to keep the beer flowing, or are new to brewing and want a tasty brew that’s easy to do, try our new 20 minute Kolsch. Based on our Kolsch recipe, this beer style is indigenous to the city of Koln, Germany. A pale, clean, crisp, lager-like ale that is fermented with a unique German ale yeast capable of fermenting at cooler temperatures, outside the range of most ale yeasts. This version has been tweaked to accommodate a 20 minute boil, making it a breeze to brew anytime. Expect a slightly more hop forward beer than a traditional kolsch accompanied by light, clean, and ‘spritzy’ characteristics- it’s the perfect summer slammer!

- 4.0 / 5.05 ReviewsThe jury is still out !!!I just had my first bottle out of this kit and am not sure if I like it or not. It was really easy to make , but I need to do a little more sampling before I know if I will buy it again.August 28, 2016Quickwas perfect for a quick boil after workJuly 17, 2016Very easy, great tasteIf you only have a short period of time to brew I recommend this kit.January 8, 2016Pretty good for a quick brewI am pleasantly surprised with this kit. I was skeptical when I ordered it but I liked the idea of the 20 min brew since I was planning to brew 2 batches the same day. If you're only planning to do one, I don't really see the time savings as that big of a deal. But since I already had all my gear out, we let this one boil while we were chilling the first beer. Its got a really light flavor like a kolsch typically has and its pretty low on ABV so you can have a few and still be able to mow a straight line. I'm sure I'll brew this again.July 27, 2015Pretty GoodPretty good. Not quite as good as the standard Kolsch but to save 40 minutes in the boil process was awesome. Not quite sure if the time saving was worth it in the end, may have to try 1 more batch.October 3, 2013
