once you figure out which way you need to put the cap on its easy peasy! beats the hops out of traditional bottles, yet not as easy as kegging. the one liter is good because its the amount I want to drink without having to get up as often, plus i use them for wine. The only downside is due to price you need to chase every person down for the bottles back. Or if you dont care about getting them back... just send them to me!

The wire is very stiff
It can be a challenge to get the wire bail on the bottle but it seals nicely. I removed the wire bail when I sanitized the bottles and put it back on while bottling. I haven't tried the beer that I bottled in them yet but using the bigger bottles did speed up bottling day.

Bottles and caps worked great. But once the bottles are capped they don't fit in the box they came in with.

Perfect! met my needs completely!
This old-style 'swing-top' sealed bottle is perfect for my needs. The design harkens back to the 1800s (Germany), but it is still the perfect way to hermetically seal a bottle filled with effervescent fluid (beer). Glad they are still available in .5 and 1.0 liter sizes. Thank you.

Great Bottles these are all I use.
I bottle My home brew in these bottles. I used the same seals up to six different batches and only had a few that didn't carbonate well on the sixth batch but were still drinkable .So replace seals after 4th batch to be sure. Also If I don't finish a bottle I just reseal put back in fridge and finish later no problems. I use colored election tape such as red, blue, black, white, yellow. On top of bottle caps to keep My brews separated as I have enough of these bottles for five different brews [Cons] The only bad thing to say about these bottles is they sometimes don't come back home if they leave home.

will they stand up to highly carbonated beverages without exploding?
A shopper on Feb 23, 2017
BEST ANSWER: They've held up to everything I've bottled so far. Just be cautious when opening if you're worried about something overly carbonated inside. It's easy enough to vent a little gas by keeping a palm down on the lid while swinging the wire bale open and letting a little pressure out with a little leeway on one side of the lid.
can these bottles be used for wine? Bottling and storage?
A shopper on Mar 11, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I used them for sparkling cider and they worked very well for bottling and storage. They handle quite a lot of pressure; however if you are expecting a secondary fermentation, be careful with the sugar; the caps fit very tightly and if the secondary fermentation is too strong, you might lose a few.
Are new rubber gaskets available?
A R on Feb 7, 2016
BEST ANSWER: New gaskets come with the bottles along with the caps. The caps are plastic though I was hoping they were ceramic which is a little disappointing. If you are asking if you can purchase the gaskets separately, you can (so the information on the site says). They are listed as 'Grolsch Gaskets' and they say they are replacement gaskets for their Ez-Cap bottles.
Can you get them custom printed before you receive them?
A shopper on Apr 2, 2017
BEST ANSWER: No we don't offer customer printing on bottles, but we do carry a product called FastLabel, which is a beer sleeve, so you can print your own labels off you computer and heat shrink them on your bottles. For this particular bottle you may want to use the wine size.
How many "fizz drops" should i use when bottling with these?
A shopper on Jan 2, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I used 1.5 for an IPA that sat at 68 degrees for a couple weeks before drinking.
Can you use the EZ-Caps for long-term storage (conditioning) ? How long? I have read elsewhere that crown caps should be used for initial storage, and the EZ-Caps are only useful for keeping the beer a little fresher while drinking.
John B on Apr 17, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Yes you can use the EZ cap bottles for both conditioning and storage. The storage times are similar to bottles sealed with a crown cap. Most brews can be kept for around a year. Higher gravity brews can be kept longer.
How tall are the 1 liter ez cap bottles?
C A on Sep 20, 2015
BEST ANSWER: The 16 oz EZ cap bottles are 12 1/4" tall
