Note: This 1.0 micron filter should not be used to filter out coarse particulates. Instead, we recommend the 5.0 micron filter first, followed by this filter for fining.

Beer filters
I have just finished using the 1.0 micron filter to keg a cream ale. Fantastic clarity and as sparkling as any commercial beer ever! Also, great flavor. I shall use another when my pilsner is ready to be kegged. Thanks for the great product.

BEST ANSWER: We (my son and I) have been using these filters for more than a year to filter our beer after clearing it with a fining agent. They have worked really well and have not imparted any flavors to the finished beer. We expect to continue to use them for all our beers, save for any hefeweitzens, which should be a bit cloudy
How many times can a filter be used before replacing it?

Filters should only be used once. You can use them to filter as much beer as you'd like in a single run as long as the filter maintains its structure

but you should not reuse filters beyond a single run. Hope this helps.
What material are the filters made from?

BEST ANSWER: Not sure, but it's the same filters I have seen used on commercial ice machines.
