Product Details
Dripping with vivid flavors, Fresh Squished is the beer equivalent of visiting your local fruit stand. Flavors and aromas of grapefruit, melon, berries, lime and passionfruit drizzle into a faint herbal, piney background. The sturdy malt foundation of sweet crystal malts and toasty munich concedes to this indulgent use of Citra and Mosaic hops to achieve remarkable balance. Pale copper in color, Fresh Squished is overlaid by a fluffy, rich beige foam cap, allowing the juicy aromas to ooze out.

Brad's Thoughts: As evidenced by a wildly popular beer produced in the Pacific Northwest, the combination of Citra and Mosaic hops is an instant classic. Late hops additions provide an extraordinary sipping experience full of luscious fruit flavors and aromas. To keep this beer from being a one-trick pony, a fairly modest addition of toasty Munich malt and American caramel malt round out the flavor profile and provides a background for the Citra and Mosaic to shine.

This one is to goog to be true!
Deschutes Fresh Squeezed is my absolute favorite beer. When I saw this kit, I didn't think twice and ordered. All I can say is WOW! This came out just as good as the original. I will be doing this one many times over. I just hope I can make it last long enough to be able to try other kits and keep this stocked in fridge. I don't even know if I will share this with others it is so good. I have only drank two bottles out of the five gallons, and I am wanting to make it again before I run out!

Pretty tasty even without the finishing hops
I missed the addition of the finishing hops before sending this to the keg and it turned out great despite my best efforts to sabotage. Just purchased another kit to see how it goes with the finishing hops this time.

Can I get away with using one pack of Safale US-05 or should I use 2?
A shopper on Apr 3, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I used one pack and it came out great. However, I also left it in the primary fermentor for a couple of months due to a busy schedule so the yeast had plenty of time to eat up all they could.
I am considering adding orange zest to the secondary. Good idea or bad? Thanks

BEST ANSWER: I have yet to go outside the boundaries of the kits recipe, but that will change this week. Going to try a mango IPA. I say go for it. I like to compare though. So you also need to try the kit as is so get another. I will be brewing this a second time within a two month period.
I see 3 yeast options listed. Which one do you recommend? How do they vary?
A shopper on Mar 23, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I’v had the best luck with the Omega liquid yeast, with the IPA’s. Generally use dry yeast for wine, but this seems to work better with beer.
Can I get away with only one pack of Safale US-05 or should I really use two?
