Alcohol Tolerance is 16%
Just wanted to give y'all a heads up, that the alcohol tolerance is 16% on this one. Northern Brewer lists it as 14%, but the Lalvin website states 16%.

Hope this helps!

As for the yeast, great choice for red wine (which is what I used it for) and the final product is amazing. No problems with fermentation. Just make sure to give this some heat... High heat requirements!!!

Sweet taste of success
I've tried several kinds of yeast, and so far this one is my favorite. This yeast yields a sweeter taste than any other I've tried.

Mead and Wine
I've used this strain with great results in blueberry mead, raspberry mead, blackberry mead, and cherry mead. It's a bit to powerful for strawberry but gives the cherry and strawberry great color. Also use this in my blackberry wine, boysenberry wine, and raspberry wine. It never fails.

BEST ANSWER: The yeast we sell should have at least one more year left of its shelf life when you receive it.
