Was this review helpful? Yes (0) No (0) Flag as Inappropriate Awesome Low Profile CouplerI have two of these now in my keezer, they're the only way I can get a commercial keg to fit. I can easily fit a combination of up to three of any type 1/6 commercial kegs and pin lock kegs. I have taken the barbs off of both of mine and bought stainless 1/8" NPT-1/4" MFL from McMaster Carr so that I can easily swap out lines with either the commercial couplers or homebrew couplers. Was this review helpful? I think it was easier to use than some of the other commercial couplers I have used in the past. Easy to attach/remove from the keg, no leaks, etc.I have 1/4" gas lines and was worried I would need to retrofit one of them to 5/16". The 1/4" ID line DOES fit tightly around the barb which was a nice surprise. Was this review helpful? Yes (4) No (0) Flag as Inappropriate October 12, 2012eric Was this review helpful? Yes (4) No (0) Flag as Inappropriate best commercial coupler for a small kegerator setupsOut of all the things I've purchased from Northern Brewer - this may easily be the most underrated thing I've picked up. I have a fairly generic 9 cu. ft kegerator setup - which works great for homebrew, but commercial kegs were always a tight fit with a standard sanke tap. This product saved me about 3 inches from the lid over the standard tap - 2 inches on height alone and then another inch on the tightest bend I could get in my beer lines while still dispensing. I was worried about missing something without a locking handle, but then I found out this whole unit rotates and locks in place. Finally, I no longer have to go out with guests to the kegerator to make sure they don't pinch any lines or snap off a pressurized line. Was this review helpful? I want to use the low profile Sankey coupler to carbonate my beer in a beer cooler. Is there a way I can easily stop up the beverage out barb? K E on Sep 21, 2016 BEST ANSWER: We do not have the hardware to do that. It's possible that you may be able to find a threaded plug the same thread size as the barb (sorry, we don't have that specification), and use that in lieu of the liquid out barb. My lines are set up for home brew, but I like to rotate in a local brew from time to time. R U on Nov 7, 2015 BEST ANSWER: This coupler is not compatible with any other barbs or tail pieces. Unfortunately that means that it is not as easily convertable over to ball lock.
