Keg Washer Review
Works very well. Uses much less cleaner. I’ve used the adapter to clean several hoses! It’s a great product and is reducing my least favorite part of brewing.... the cleaning.

Excellent Product
The first day I got this, I washed all 6 of my kegs in one evening. This is a fantastic product and I highly recommend - so much easier to clean using this tool than my previous methods!

Revolutionary
I wish this had been one of my first homebrew purchases. It does for kegging day, what a chiller does for brew day (greatly improves the worst step). I also look forward to using the pump for cleaning my kegerator lines. My only wish was that the detachable white stand was easier to remove/install. I'm worried the tabs on the stand are going to eventually break. Also, you have to use it in a sink or tub otherwise it will overflow and make a huge mess.

Cleans and sanitizes well
This keg and carboy washer does a great job at cleaning the kegs and fermenting buckets. I only recently purchased it but have put it through the wringer already with cleaning then sanitizing several kegs in succession, as sanitizing prior to fermenting in buckets and then the post fermentation clean up.

The highlights are that you are able to use significantly less of your cleaning chemicals while doing a better job at reaching all surfaces. Using sanitizer mixed up for one gallon I was able to sanitize two brew buckets and then three kegs, all to a more satisfactory level than if I had filled them up with 5 gallons of sanitizing solution. This is due to the solution being constantly sprayed and circulated on the equipment.

What I feel it is missing is: 1) a fill line in the tub to know how much water is necessary to add before the pump gets dropped in, not a big deal but would make things a little easier. 2) A sealed-inline switch to shut off the pump, the only way to turn it on or off is by plugging/unplugging the pump. When cleaning multiple vessels your hands will no doubt get wet and your grip becomes slippery making the constant plugging/unplugging a chore. I have installed a lot of electrical instrumentation in marine environments, a sealed switch would not have been that expensive to add and would be a safer solution to operate the pump. 3) A ball lock connection that threads onto the pump. This would (will) be great to use for circulating beer line cleaner in the bar, but it will require cutting off the end of the beer line each time I want to clean it, and then hooking up that line to one of the threaded flare connections that goes on the pump. I would be willing to buy the threaded ball lock connection separately if it allowed me to easily switch among my beer lines without cutting them.

Overall a great product that I really enjoy using, just a few requested enhancements that would make this portion of my life even better!

time saving aspect makes this worth the purchase
Does a decent job. just make sure to scrub any caked on residue in the carboy before hand. Also, it would be nice if there were a way to drain the water and suds when done instead of having to just dump them. It would eliminate spillage when carrying it to dump out in sink.

Works as advertised
Works pretty good overall. Have not tried any of the attachments yet.
It is nice not to burn through 5 gallons worth of PBW anymore for one good cleaning.

Amazing
One of the best homebrewing investments I've made. It makes cleaning and especially sanitizing carboys much easier. Makes brewday and cleaning much more efficient.

Has anyone used this unit to clean sanke kegs?
S A on Jan 21, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Yes, i cleaned a sanle keg with it and it worked easily and cleaned it very well!
Hello, my mark ii washer pump is not working. Where do I go to see how to fix it?
Thanks
D R on Nov 3, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Not sure what it is doing and what troubleshooting fixes are available. You could try contacting the manufacturer directly with detailed info. If the pump will just not move water

make sure everything is open and set up right

otherwise if the pump has gone bad than replacement is the ideal fix.
Will this work with the wide-mouthed Big Mouth Bubblers that NB sells?
K F on Oct 5, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Yes, I used the Mark II to sanitize the 6.5 Big Mouth last week. You must remove the round, plastic support piece that is used for the glass carboys in order to place the Big Mouth on the unit. Although the pressure of the spray was not hard enough to dislodge the Big Mouth, I took precaution to gently hold it in place and turn it to ensure the spray covered all sides. Love the Mark II and can't wait to try it when cleaning the carboys.
Can this be used to sanitize bottles?
S W on Mar 23, 2016
BEST ANSWER: No, it won't work well for that. I'd recommend this one:

Will it handle glass carboys with the carry handle attached or must the handle be removed from the carboy before cleaning?
Brett B on Feb 5, 2016
BEST ANSWER: You'll want to remove the handle before cleaning.
Can this product be used with caustic and peracetic acid? I am concerned the caustic could in some fashion damage the submersible pump. Thank you.
Brian B on Dec 7, 2015
BEST ANSWER: The keg washer should work with those agents as long as they are mixed to the right proportions and the pump does not sit for prolonged periods in the solutions. It's designed to remove proteins from glass/plastic/stainless fermentors so something like PBW(TPP) is a safe option to use as intended. Using it with too high or caustic or perceatic concentrations could damage the item and sadly there is no report of it being tested so you might be exploring unknown territory. Hope this helps!
Will this work with a Sankey fermenter keg with the spear removed?
Bob T on Oct 21, 2015
BEST ANSWER: It should work if you take out the spear.
Will this hold a ten gallon corny keg?
A shopper on Jan 25, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I have put 16 gallon Sankey kegs on mine .
Just getting started in wine making so I’m doing small batches to start. I assume this will clean the 1 gallon carboys with the glass handle on them? Just want to make sure before I pull the trigger! Thanks!
Ryan Z on Jan 8, 2018
BEST ANSWER: havent used one gallon jugs on it nut im sure will work ok
to clean a Sankey keg does it need to be disassembled?
A shopper on Jul 26, 2017
BEST ANSWER: If you're using the Mark II to clean it then yes. You must remove the sanke spear to insert the pipe coming from the submersible pump. If you're looking to clean and sanitize without the removing the spear I would suggest building a manual keg washer
Will this unit work with the FastFerment conical fermenter? The FastFerment is my primary fermenter, but I also have a 5 gallon glass carboy and a 3 gallon PET carboy which I know the carboys will work. Thanks!
Paul S on Sep 9, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Yes, this will clean the FastFerment as well.
Whats the power rating for the pump (GPH)?
P A on Aug 8, 2016
BEST ANSWER: It can move a decent amount of water - an uncited source says 520 gallons per hour. I would contact Mark himself to find out the exact amount.
Will it clean one handle Italian kegs that you sale?
B I on Jul 30, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Yes it will
Has anyone toyed with CIP spray balls yet? I see several around the $12-20 with 1/2" NPT female connection; I believe that can screw right onto the water stem, correct? really Just looking for confirmation of the sizing... thanks
Richard A on Apr 5, 2016
BEST ANSWER: It is 1/2 threading so if you get a spray bottle with 1/2" NPT threading it can screw right on. Works like a champ - though the product already works as advertised without one. Cheers!
Would this also work with better Bottle type vessels? If so, both 5 & 3 gallon sizes?
J M on Sep 14, 2015
BEST ANSWER: If the bottles you are referring to are carboys

yes it includes a runbber non slip attachment for use with plastic and glass carboys...works on every size except for 1 gallons. (3
