The 10-gallon MegaPot 1.2™ is a brew kettle for the long haul. The 10 Gallon size will easily boil a 5-7 gallon batch with plenty of room to avoid a boil over. It is also ideal for the Brew-In-A-Bag method. The optional false bottom allows this kettle to serve as a mash tun for 5 gallon All-Grain systems and has enough space for most beer recipes. If you eventually expand to 10 gallon batches, this kettle can serve as a Hot Liquor Tank when paired with a larger mash tun and boil kettle.

Ideal for: 5 to 7 gallon batches, but with plenty of space for Brew-In-A-Bag methods as well. Mash Tun on 5 gallon All-Grain systems or as a HLT on a 10 gallon system.

MegaPot 1.2™ is a stainless steel masterpiece, not just another stainless steel stock pot. Every detail has been thought through to enhance the homebrewing experience. The heart of the kettle is a 4mm thick Tri-Clad bottom- made specifically for even heat distribution. Graduated volume markings inside the kettle allow for easy volume measurements during the boil. The 1.2 proportion of MegaPot has been scientifically designed to promote a vigorous boil and reduce off-flavors making it the ultimate home brew kettle.

You may also need: The False Bottom for 10 Gal. MegaPot 1.2™

Also available with weldless ball-valve and thermometer.

Mega Pot 1.2
I did a lot of research before making this purchase. So much information out there. I bought this with the intention of using it for 5 Gallon BIAB. I wanted simplicity and don't mind racking my wort into a fermenter. The lack of spigot will make it easy to insulate.

Great kettle
Going from a 3 or 3.5 gallon kettle, to this thing was nice. The ability to do a whole batch at once is clutch... But don't think of using this thing unless you have a wort chiller or a tube big enough to make an ice bath. This thing is solid

Perfect for 5 gallon BIAB
I wanted to start brewing with BIAB and needed a larger kettle. I did not want a valve or thermometer, just a solid brewpot and this fit the bill perfectly. Also very happy having the volume markings inside, makes the whole process that much easier.

Excellent Quality
My brew day has gone a lot smoother with this new kettle. I have the 10 gallon model and it sits nicely on top of the Dark Star Burner. This kettle is a beast; it is strong, well crafted, and most importantly it boils the wort with ease. I love the volume markers because they really come in handy when I'm trying to correctly achieve my pre-boil volume. Overall, to me this was an expensive purchase but it is well worth it and I have brewed over 8 batches of beer so far on this kettle and I have zero issues.

Is this boiler dishwasher safe?
K Y on Feb 6, 2016
BEST ANSWER: It may be dishwasher safe, but you would have to have an institutional-sized dishwasher for it to fit. Personally, I would not put it in a dishwasher, even if it did fit. The gallon calibrations on the inside of the pot probably would not hold up very long with harsh dishwasher detergent. Much better to wash by hand and go easy on scrubbing around the calibrations.
Can you fry (with oil) using these pots?
D A on Oct 31, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Sure

that would be perfectly fine. Just be careful! That's a lot of hot oil!
Can this be lifted by the handles while it's (mostly) full?
L E on Oct 13, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Yeah but it's hot
is this 18/10?
A D on Sep 1, 2015
BEST ANSWER: The body is 201 stainless steel. The bottom is 410 stainless steel.
