Why limit yourself to one batch size? The 15-gallon MegaPot 1.2™ brew kettle can accommodate 5 or 10 gallon batches. This 15 gallon kettle allows plenty of space to boil up to 12 gallons of wort. Brew for yourself one day, then whip up a double-batch with a friend the next. This kettle can also serve as a mash tun for 5-7 gallon All-Grain batches using the optional false bottom. While it could handle some 10 gallon recipes, the size may limit the grain bill to low-gravity beers.

Ideal for: bringing 11-12 gallon batches to a full boil. Mash Tun for 5-7 gallon All Grain brewing. Hot Liquor Tank on 15-20 gallon All-Grain systems when paired with a larger mash tun and boil kettle.

MegaPot 1.2™ is a stainless steel masterpiece, not just another stainless steel stock pot. Every detail has been thought through to enhance the homebrewing experience. The heart of the kettle is a 4mm thick Tri-Clad bottom- made specifically for even heat distribution. Graduated volume markings inside the kettle allow for easy volume measurements during the boil. The 1.2 proportion of MegaPot has been scientifically designed to promote a vigorous boil and reduce off-flavors making it the ultimate home brew kettle.

You may also need: Fermenter's Favorites™ Titan™ False Bottom

Also available with weldless ball-valve and thermometer.

Better Quality Than I Expected
I had high hopes for this pot when I ordered it, I was NOT disappointed! While this is my first brew kettle, it isn't my first piece of high end cookware. I own All Clad, Le Creuset, Calphalon and Pampered Chef cookware (full sets of Calphalon tri ply and pampered chef nonstick. Individual pieces of the other brands) This pot rivals any stainless cookware I own or have even handled (except the 5 ply copper core All Clad pans) Don't be afraid to order one of these Megapot 1.2 kettles. They seem to be great pieces!

Great kettle!
Very solid, well made kettle. I love the volume measurements on the inside, and the silicone coated handles stay nice and cool. I just wish there was a way to store the lid on one of the handles though.

Not bad, but has issues...
Nice thick heavy duty kettle, love the graduated markings. However after one boil over the kettle is stained and after one brew the kettle began to show rust spots. Also the kettle showed up wits a small dent towards the bottom. These are not big issues, but for the price you pay one would expect more durability then a much cheaper economy kettle.

Awesome piece of equipment!
I use this to make beer. I've made my best homebrew so far because of the MegaPot. Everything about this piece of equipment is great, easy to clean and the silicon handles are a fantastic feature. Boil is very even due to the bottom construction.

what grade stainless is the kettle?
A shopper on Dec 5, 2017
BEST ANSWER: According to a post on Homebrew Talk dated 2/17/15 it is made of 304 stainless. Through my experience using deep drawn cups and spun funnels from Toledo Metal Spinning I would believe this to be true as 304 is quite a bit cheaper than 316.

Cheers
hi
is is right that the Tri-Clad bottom can be used for induction?
A shopper on Mar 28, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Thanks for contacting Northern Brewer. Yes, the Megapots can be used for induction.
I currently have a thermometer and ball valve and was wondering if it's possible to buy this pot drilled and use my current set versus having to buy with a new thermometer and ball valve?
C R on Nov 3, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Derek

We do not currently have the option to sell a drilled kettle without the ball valve and thermometer. We did recently run a promotion for $50 off of the fully loaded Megapots and if you would like we can still get you in on that deal. That would help defray some of the cost for you. I'm sorry for any inconvenience.
