Product Details
Caps fit standard pry-off beer bottles. Do not use twist-off bottles. Caps are equipped with an oxygen-scavenging liner to reduce oxidation and staling. Each package includes 120 crown caps.

For best results, do not use an oxidizing cleaner or sanitizer such as One-Step or Easy Clean when sanitizing your caps before use. We recommend Star San or Iodophor.

Caps are activated when wet and should only be exposed to moisture just before or after bottling. Do not attempt to store and reuse caps that have been exposed to liquid.

It's a pretty sweet deal.
These caps work as well as any other cap out there, I have never had any problems with sealing, and they are easy to write on with a sharpie. I would like to see a variety of colors, not just safety orange.

Orange NB caps
I like the orange caps for Belgian Wits (orange peel). Helps me keep track of styles in my cooler without labels. I cap with a professional all steel bench capper and these caps make a very nice seal and do not stick in the capping head.

They Fit
I tried other caps from other suppliers. They cost less and were not painted which made it easy to label. But they did not fit the bottles as well. The others do not wrap around far enough to make a good seal. I will stick to these from now on.

I'm not a chemist, but eliminating oxygen from the beer carbonation seems like a good idea.

Capping Contentment
I've used these and have had no problems over the past year or so. I like the basic concept, too.

Do these caps work on used bottles with screw off type caps?
ron H on Feb 4, 2018
BEST ANSWER: No. You should not use bottles that have the twist-off tops. You just need to start collecting bottles from all of your favorite craft brewers. Good luck.
Does sanitizing these caps interfere with their oxygen-absorbing capability?
Mike D. on Dec 5, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I have only bottled once with these caps and have not seen where sanitizer effects the oxygen absorption.
What brand are these caps? Are the Brewers Best (LD Carlson) or just a cap like the Fermenter's Favorites with the NB logo? Thanks for any input since I have had issues with Fermenter's Favorite caps on the bottles I have with not sealing tight all the time.
Jakob P on Oct 18, 2015
BEST ANSWER: All caps

including fermentor's favorites

now come from a company called Star Crowns. The fermentor's favorites caps were actually the same source as the Brewer's Best caps. Sources have changed so any fermentor's favorites caps should work better. Let us know if any caps give you trouble on a standard bottle.
