Product Details

Whether you're late hopping, hop standing, hop bursting, first wort hopping, dry hopping, or just plain hopping, the Super Structure is the extract for you. Clean and crisp, with hints of biscuits and bread to add mystery and complexity, it's a gold medal formula. This unique blend is specially-formulated from select American 2-row malt, English Maris Otter malt, and a light caramel malt. The three malts bring complexity and depth, but know when to hold back and let the hops do the talking. No overpowering caramel sweetness to clash with bracingly bitter hops - this is made for hop monsters.

PPG of 1.036, Lovibond of approximately 4.5

Northern Brewer Malt Syrups are some of the freshest malt extracts you can buy. Our high rate of turnover- we package and sell hundreds of gallons every day -means that the syrup you receive won't have been sitting on the shelf for months. Fresh malt extract makes better beer!

Will definitely buy again for my indoor winter extract brews
Batch #11 and my last extract for a while, as I am going All-Grain. I'm still waiting for the bottles to condition; however, this may be one of my favorite IPAs so far. It even tasted great uncarbonated. I used this in conjunction with 6 lbs of Gold LME and 1 lb of caramel #40.

Great for added complexity
im a partial mash brewer due to limited space. this extract helps add some complexity to my base malt bill, and has become my go to extract for all my IPA's! Finishes nice and crisp and not sweet.

Great backbone for an IPA!
I used an entire container plus 1 lb of extra light DME, an ounce each of Equinox (first wort) and Mosaic (hopstand), plus Wyeast 1056, to make an incredibly drinkable IPA. The malt backbone stands up to hops.

Great malt - expensive
I've used this in a number of IPA based beers and they've always come out great. It adds some nice malt complexity. I made a clone of Founder's All Day IPA, which is one my favorite beers and it came out dead on. Pretty impressive.

Good IPA malt
I found this to be very malty, light colored while not overpowering the hop flavor.

Nice malt extract
I made a two gallon batch with one bottle of extract. Two weeks in the bottle and it is all ready good. I like the fact that it finished dry and not overly sweet like some extracts. I used US-05 yeast and plan to use Super Structure to experiment with different hop combinations in my two gallon fermenter.

Good structure to add to my Galaxy IPA. Half grains, half extract. Mostly two row which is what I wanted.
