Sterile cherry puree can be added directly to the primary or secondary fermenter - do not boil.

Vintners Harvest Cherry Puree can be used in any beer or wine recipe that calls for fruit. The purees contain no seeds and have been commercially sterilized. Great for Cherry Wheat beer
Great quality and flavor, I have used it for years (back when it was only $14.99). I add it to the secondary with potassium sorbate, then rack my American Wheat into it. It mixes naturally, let it sit for 4 days and you'll have an award winning beer. Mine has won 2 golds and a silver over the years. Happy brewing!

I had never used this product, but will definitely use again. I made a Cherry Wheat, I used 1 can, next time, I'll use two for a bit more Cherry to shine through. The beer came out with I nice light cherry flavor, it lent a nice redish hue to the beer. I added after active fermentation slowed, about 4 days, took about 30 minutes and it was active again. Overall I would recommend this product, definitely.

Great product!
We liked the flavor of the cherry purée. It beats using cherry extract any day.

Cherry Vanilla Stout
Used 2 cans in my Imperial Stout, delicious!! And easy to add, just sterilize the outside of the can and pour in. Can't wait for the beer to be ready to drink!

Great product
I'll used this twice, once with a cherry stout and most recently with a cherry wheat. Both beers turned out delicious. I plan on using this product many more times.

I used a can in a wheat beer
I probably should have tried 2 cans. Had hoped for a bit more cherry flavor in the finished product.

Will this work with most extract kits? What style of beer is it better with? When do I add it? Thanks

BEST ANSWER: This would work for any beer I guess but that's more opinion based on taste. I used this for a Kriek that turned out great. I fermented for a year and then racked it onto cherry puree for another year. I've also aged cider on this puree with great results. You can add any puree at any part of fermentation. Just know that if you add it to secondary, leave space, because it's going to ferment again and you don't want a blow out. Another thing to keep in mind is it's not going to taste a lot like cherries as it will mostly ferment out. You will get a dry cherry taste and a lot of aromatics. If you're looking for a lot of cherry taste, I would just buy cherry flavor and add it at bottling. Cherry flavor has unfermentable sugar where cherry puree is mostly fermentable.
I'd like to try this. Would it work well with the Caribou Slobber?

BEST ANSWER: I think it would be fine , in my experience I used Vitners pureed fruit in my secondary. So it doesn't ferment out the flavor.
Is there any red dye in this?

I am considering using this to make a melomel and want to add to my mead during secondary. Assume my fermentation has finished (below 1.000) and I want a semi-sweet (around 1.010) what would be a recommended amount to add per gallon?
A shopper on Feb 23, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Based on the manufacturer's website, Dark Cherries have a Specific Gravity of 8.98 – 9.24 lbs/gal. I'd use 1 lb./1 gallon of your mead to nearly reach your goal, or if you had 6 gallons of mead, add (2) 3.1 lb. cans. Should get you there.
