This merlot is great. It is smooth and can taste the raspberry. I added the BlackRasp syrup at the start of fermentation. It only raised the ABV by .010. I only added 1/2 C sugar. It has ABV of 9% but a very pleasant tasting Merlot. If you want more alcohol, add more sugar. The directions are great, but I might add an extra racking just to be sure it is clear. A dark red wine is hard to tell if it is clear.

I fermented both bags at the same time. This produces a dry wine with a remarkable taste and finish!
