Product details
Andechs German Lager (AGL) *BETA*
Available for the first time from Bootleg Biology! The cold-fermenting strain slowly conquering American craft lagers. AGL is renowned for its ease to harvest, low sulfur production, clarity and authentic taste. AGL brightens up predictable Marzen, Helles, or Pils recipes with a rich and refined flavor profile that feels new yet comfortably authentic. Ideal for Cold IPAs.
Ferment at traditional lager ferm temperatures 50F-55F (10C-13C) for 2-6 weeks with a diacetyl rest before crashing or additional lagering. Do not rush this culture. Those who respect AGL’s desire to make lovely beer at its own pace will have their patience rewarded.
