Used on a 10 gallon Home Depot Rubbermaid brand cooler, removed the stock valve, and inserted this per the instructions. It tightens down well, with no leaks. Just what I needed. Purchased the Northern Brewer False bottom and a couple of other related fittings that go with it, and 'ta da', you've got a great mash tun!
They do work well, but need more complete instructions, Wasted a few Orings getting it to eork on the HLT, It is water tight vut still movesoo much on tboil apots
Installed in Coleman steelbelted cooler for MLT. Fits fine and seals.
I cannot turn the valve 100% off because it hit against the side of the cooler and on the inside, there is just a little thread to put the coupling on. It needs to be longer on both ends.
