Product details

The 3G FastFerment is your all-in-one fermentation solution.

Eliminate 80% of sanitizing and cleaning with this affordable all-in-one conical fermentor. Conduct all stages of fermentation in this single vessel. Remove the trub from the bottom of the fermentor instead of transferring all your liquid to secondary. No siphons, no secondary fermenting vessel to sanitize, no extra bungs and airlocks.

FastFerment produces dramatically better results. Start each batch by letting debris settle out into the collection ball before pitching your yeast! Remove the debris, and pitch into ultra-clear wort. Plus, FastFerment minimizes the risk of oxidation and contamination by eliminating the need to transfer to a second vessel, preventing off-flavors and infection. Keep your batch safe from external spoiling factors by keeping it in one place.

Perfect for making beer, wine, or cider.

Poor quality

It does its job. However, the quality is poor. You need a large quantity of Teflon tape to seal all the threaded portions. The shutoff valve is cheaply made. The design for the gasket that goes to the jar is horrible. I needed to add keg lube to keep it from leaking. The drain hose is about 12 inches long, not very practical.

It's unfortunate that they took so many shortcuts for manufacturing. Otherwise this could be a great product.

FastFerment 3 Gallon Fermenter

On paper, this vessel is interesting - even novel. But, in practice, it was disappointing. The vessel is not a continuous cast; rather, it's two lengthwise halves fused together. The resulting seam passes through the threads along the top and bottom. At the bottom, this makes teflon tape almost useless. Even worse, the bottom threaded fitting is a straight thread, not tapered pipe thread as required by the valve. Result is a leak, though small if enough tape is used. At the top, the hollow o-ring does not seal the screw top to the vessel. I used a caulk along the bottom of the cap to get a seal. Recommendation - redesign to avoid these shortcomings. Still, in spite of these, the beer from it was good, and I'll use the vessel again based on what I learned.

Not the best

I've done 3 brews with it and on my 4th and every time the ball valve gets clogged. I remove the first round of trub and reattach the jar and it has remained empty (did not fill up after opening valve) the rest of the fermentation. This really should be a larger hole with a butterfly valve to prevent this. Also the lid doesn't seal very well. Overall for the price there are better options.
