My new favorite hop!

I used this hop which was delivered in the Luckiest Man All-Grain Kit. This recipe was what I brewed for my daughter's wedding in May, and it was served at her shower. I cannot tell you how many positive comments I have received on the taste and aroma of that batch! This is now my new "session beer" that appears to be an across-the-board crowd-pleaser. The only tweak was that I dry-hopped in the primary after 1 week instead of in the secondary. The hop flavor and aroma definitely pop with grapefruit and tropical, with no noticeable off-flavors or dankness.

HBC 438 GLORY

I made a NEPA with it (https://www.brewtoad.com/recipes/pale-schmale-super-juice) and I couldn't be happier. Even with the mosaic and galaxy next to it, the HBC 438 shines and almost stands out. This is easily my favorite hop right now!

Love it

This is a great hops. I have used it in two separate beers now, a blonde and an IPA. We used it with Azacca hops in both beers and they came out great. Obviously we used a lot more in the IPA and the beer came out with fantastic tropical notes and flavor. We dry hopped both beers and were very happy with them both. In the Blonde we used just an oz of each as late additions, and about half the IPA amount for dry hopping. The blonde had great tropical notes in the nose, but was a perfect, dry neutral flavor with a tad bit of tropical/bitterness to taste. We are entering the blonde into a competition this weekend and will post the results. Needless to say we are very confident in a strong result from it. This will be a continual use from here on out. I am going to play with it with Citra and Columbus next.

Made an awesome hoppy brown with these

I can't give a specific description of what these hops bring to the table, but I can tell you they play really nicely with Azzacca and Columbus. I just tapped a keg of a sort of "sweep-the-kitchen" experimental hoppy brown ale where I used an ounce of these and an ounce of Azzacca at FO, and let me say, this is one of the tastiest beers I have brewed. I recall the aroma of these hops on opening the package made me want to circle back and brew a simple pale using only these, as they seemed to have enough tropical fruity complexity to make a good SMASH, but I haven't gotten to that yet. Though I would encourage anyone contemplating just that to give it a go. I suspect you won't be disappointed.
