For perfectly milled grains, ease of use and superior dependability, look no further than the Hullwrecker® grain mill. Our new two roller mill takes the guesswork out of achieving the ideal crush for your brewery. The Hullwrecker® grain mill features a fully adjustable roller gap from 0.025 all the way to 0.1, allowing you to finely tune the crush to your extract preference.

Unlike other available grain mills, the Hullwrecker® comes complete with a custom-designed metal base that fits perfectly on any standard 5 or 6.5-gallon plastic bucket.

Hullwrecker Review

Quickly powered through 20lbs of grain using a drill on low speed. Assembled nicely with no misaligned holes and does the job well. I wish that the materials were a bit more rigid, but a good product overall.

Works great!

I've used it twice, both times had a big grain bill. First time I used the handle that comes with the Hullwrecker. It works really well, but very slow. Roughly a minute per pound of grain... Fortunately (hopefully on purpose by the designer) you can remove the handle and attach a drill to the drive. Maybe 4-5 pounds per minute. The milled grist is very consistent. I just eyeballed the gap between the two rollers and set it - that's it.
It does produce a lot of dust, so milling should be done outside. Then when you're done, just blow it off with a leaf blower and put it away. Simple.
Assembly is a little tedious, but not terrible. maybe 15-20 min to assemble.

Hillwrecker 2 roller, Funcional but…

The Hullwrecker 2-roller works great but don’t believe the gap adjustment scale. End to end the gap on my unit varied considerably. When set to .050” with the printed scales I measured a .038” gap at one end and .073” at the other. If you ignore the gap scales and set the gap with a feeler gauge this unit is a solid 5 star.

Great Upgrade to your Brewing Process

This grain mill was a nice improvement to my homebrewing process. It allowed me to ensure that I had the freshest grain crush for my batch. Assembly is a little challenging due to small parts, but it is still a beginner-level assembly process. I did my first batch with the hand crank, and I will be using a cordless drill on the next batch to increase speed and minimize effort.
