Minnesota Zenia Hops Pellets Grown by Mighty Axe Hops™
Zenia is one of Mighty Axe Hops’ house varieties. Grown from CTZ genetics Mighty Axe Zenia have made a name for themselves amongst craft brewers for their intense dank and resin, jammy-orange aromas and distinctive lack of onion-garlic flavor. By manipulating the harvest timing and processing practices of CTZ hops, Zenia becomes the intersection between heavy-weight resin and orange marmalade. Utilized in the dry hop addition for Fair State Brewing Cooperative’s flagship IPA, Mighty Axe Hops’ dank aroma Zenia pack a heavy flavor punch perfect for big IPAs.

Dry hopped a 5 gal batch of pale ale with an ounce of this. Nice orange citrus compliment.
I bought these because they are described specifically as being very Dank, they aren't. They aren't horrible hops, but to call them Dank or suggest they have any Dank qualities is misleading. I used these for a very straight forward "West Coast" IPA, and it was GREAT mostly because of these hops, excellent bitterness and a slightly fruity aroma. Used in the boil and also for 2x dry hop.
These hops from Mighty Axe are harvested and dried for maximum oil instead of alpha acids making excellent late addition hops to maximize aroma! They work just as well for bittering in your boil additions. Tast the terroir!
