Ss Brewtech Keg WaSsher
The Ss Brewtech Keg WaSsher gives homebrewers an easy and convenient way to clean cornelius-style kegs (Corny or other variants). You won’t need to disassemble or remove QD posts, dip tubes, or other fittings; all parts are cleaned in place. And forget extra-long scrub brushes and elbow grease, this keg washer does that for you.
The Keg WaSsher was designed to fit inside of a 5 gallon bucket. This way you can clean your kegs in batches by buckets with cleanser, rinse water, and sanitizer. The Keg WaSsher only requires 2 gallons of cleaning solution, resulting in less chemical waste and less environmental impact than traditional cleaning methods.
To operate, simply remove the keg’s lid, tilt and insert the spray ball attachment into the keg’s lid opening, and then rotate the keg to secure the lip against the WaSsher’s silicone baseplate seal. Then secure the locknut and snug the entire assembly down.
Attach the two ball lock quick disconnect fittings to their respective posts ensuring there are no kinks in the silicone tube. Lastly, turn your keg upside down and put the entire assembly into a standard 5-gallon bucket that contains 2 gallons of your preferred cleaning solution, then activate the pump.
- Hands free operation
- Chemical resistant submersible pump
- Attaches to common ball-lock Cornelius-style kegs w/ removable lids
- Powerful CIP spray ball
- Entire assembly fits in 5-gallon bucket
- Cleans inside of keg and ports simultaneously
- Easily attaches/detaches from kegs
- Perform clean, rinse, and sanitize steps all with the same unit
Excellent... well worth the price.
This is the quickest way that I have found to clean/sanitize your kegs. Makes that undesirable task much easier
It has a solid design and works well, but it really doesn't have the power to wash any build up should your keg have it.
I ferment in kegs and bought this to wash them. I reached out to SS and they pretty much recommended and extended soak and a scrub...
I ended up still having to dismantle them and wash by hand.... I did use it to rinse the kegs afterwards though which was somewhat convenient.
Otherwise, I do use it for kegs I use for serving...
3 stars because it is still used, functions, and built well. Higher pressure would probably do the trick...
- 2 stars because of price and it doesn't really wash - it rinses. they have an ideal temperature for it to run at as well, but if your doing multiple kegs back to back, its a pain in the ass to mess with.
Works great. Makes cleaning and sanitizing easy without having to take apart the keg posts and dip tube. Cleaning multiple kegs at a time would be very fast compared to hand cleaning.
Well worth the money, makes clean up much more enjoyable.
