Install this insert with standard faucet-handle threads to make just about anything into a tap handle.

Make your own tap-handle by drilling a 1/2" hole to a depth of 5/8". Screw this brass insert into the hole. This provides standard tap-handle threads that will allow your homemade tap handle to fit on any standard faucet.

I bought 5 knowing one was going to break. First, save yourself the trouble and drill a hole 1/16 to 1/8 larger than reccomended. Piece installed nicely and works wonderfully. The reason for 3 stars and not 4 is because my local big box store sells them for $1.50.

great item but not true to size

these are a very useful piece and open up a lot of options but the sizing is off. 1/2 is too small for anything solid. go up 1/8" or more to avoid splitting
