Wyeast 2308 Munich Lager is a unique yeast strain, capable of producing fine lagers. Very smooth, well-rounded and full-bodied. Benefits from temperature rise for diacetyl rest. Apparent attenuation: 73-77%. Flocculation: medium. Optimum temp: 48°-56° F

NOTE: During summer months, we include complimentary ice packs with all liquid yeast orders. However, it is difficult to guarantee that the ice packs will stay frozen given transit times and particularly hot temperatures. For this reason, we recommend ordering dry yeast during summer months.

Strong & fast fermentation

Used 2 packs of 2308 for my Maibock. Also made a 2 liter starter and the results were great. Fermentation started in less than 24 hours and was complete within 2 weeks but probably was actually done before that. Attenuation was high as well at 81%. So far the beer tastes very good but am now lagering it for a month so final taste has not been evaluated yet.

Wyeast 2308 Munich lager, great yeast that helps bring out the malt profile needed in the Maypole Maibock kit. Fermented really well taking this boch to well over 6% ABV!

Made a doppelbock and it turned out great. Also started a frozen yeast bank with this strain - so far have used one vial and it was still viable.
