As far as I can tell, it produces no off-flavors the way cane sugar can and I like it more than corn sugar. It will ferment out almost completely, leaving little impact on the amount of troob. Rice solids are a good way to bump up the alcohol without having any major impact on color, flavor or mouth feel. I frequently add one lb of rice solids as a late addition. Tho if you looking to bump up the alcohol you might find that plain ol' corn sugar does the same thing and it's a lot cheaper. Traditionally, I have used this in lagers. I would love to see a review when you get to the end and taste it.
