Works great. Bought it to
Works great. Bought it to have an extra but it came just in time because the one I had been using started to leak as I was mashing in.

Easy to install, works as intended
Comes with detailed instructions and is very simple to install in a Home Depot 10gal. Only complaint I have is similar to earlier reviews, the threaded nipple needs to be a little longer to make installation even easier. Still works fine just takes a little fine tuning.

Good valves
Bought 2 kits for rubber made coolers from Home Depot. They fit perfectly. I ordered both valves at the same time, but for some reason one had a lock on the handle and the other didn't eventhough packaging had same numbers. No big deal.

Good Product - But longer nipple needed.
I could not get the nipple to work with my cooler so I had to go purchase a brass nipple. Defeated the whole purpose of purchasing stainless. I cannot find stainless parts anywhere around where I live. The construction overall is solid. I also bought the kettle kit which seems to be exactly the same except for the for the large rubber gasket.

save yourself some cash!!!
Don't buy this. I am a plumber and You can literally find everything on this "kettle valve kit" at your local plumbing supply store. Bring a picture of this into any plumbing store and they will get you what you need for about half the cost.

Nice set up. Only stainless touches the wort. However, I wish the threaded nipple was a bit longer. It took a few tries to get the threads to stick out of the front of the cooler enough to have room for the lock nut and the ball valve. I had to unscrew the inside the cooler coupling from the nipple and wrap it with extra teflon tape, and then only thread the nipple into the coupling for one turn. After some adjustments, I now have a water tight seal on a Home Depot 10 gallon rubbermaid water cooler. It held a hot water test for 1/2 hour without a drip.

Will this work with an Igloo 10 gallon cooler. I've seen comments about the nipple being too short. Will that be an issue?
A shopper on Mar 24, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Will work fine. You'll probably need a pair of channel lock pliers to firmly tighten the nipple on the inside of the cooler. Place the o rings according to the instructions and thighten it up.
What kind of threading / size do both sides have?
A shopper on Nov 29, 2017
BEST ANSWER: 1/2 inch threads.
