Not that clear
Going through the instructions i manage to have an ingredient left over, it mentions it but not where you expect it. That is why it is good to read them over before starting and make sure you have what is called for and understand the process. Wasn't too thrilled on the overall taste too bitter for me But fun making it anyways. Please read before starting.

how long does it take, from start to finish?
A shopper on Apr 11, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I dont remember i think a month or two minimum. I think you can pull up the directions on the website
does kit contain yeast metesulfate etc.?
W I on Jan 28, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Yes. It includes all necessary ingredients to successfully ferment, degas and clarify your wine.
after adding the yeast, how long before fermentation begins?
A shopper on Aug 14, 2017
BEST ANSWER: If you started the yeast before adding it, the fermentation should start right away. I have found that the bucket that came with my small batch kit does not seal sufficiently to force the CO2 out the airlock. If you gently open the container to stir you should see that it's slightly bubbly and smells a little like win e rather than juice.
What type of yeast is used in the small batch Chardonnay kit?
A shopper on Aug 5, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I received the Lalvin EC-1118 with my kit. It turned out very well.
I have never made my own wine befor and recived this along with the small batch starter kit as a gift. I have reviewed all the items included as well as read the instructions multiple times. There is a packet of bentonite included but I do not see any instruction for its use. From what I have gathers it is something used to help clarify the wine but I'm confused as when to use it?
A shopper on Dec 26, 2016
BEST ANSWER: There were some kits that had instructions calling for bentonite when the juice actually did not need it. If you have bentonite in this kit, it is the first step. If you do not, skip it - the juice ended up being protein stable enough to not need the bentonite. Sorry about any confusion - the good news is the kits come with a guarantee so brew it up with the included items!
I have never made wine before and received this and a small batch starter kit as a gift. I have reviewed all equipment and instructions included and there is a packet of bentonite that I do not see on the instructions. I have red them multiple times and I seem to understand what to do with everything else. From what I can gather this is used to clarify the wine but I'm not sure when or exactly how to use it. Can anyone help give me some guidance?
