Nice inexpensive filler!
Before I bought his I was using the cheaper fermenters favorites bottle filler. This one is much better. Not only does it fill bottles faster but comes apart for easy cleaning.

I got this bottle filler to replace the Fermenters Favorite brand bottle filler that comes with the deluxe starter kit. This one works much better then the FF brand with not even one drop of liquid leaking and even fills the bottles slightly faster.

Bottle Wand
when it works, it works well, but occasionally the spring tip will work itself off the wand in the middle of filling bottles. I finally got tired of dumping wine and beer back into the bucket and fishing the tip out, I super glued it back on myself and haven't had issues since.

Leaks more than the non spring loaded bottle filler
I asked for this, along with some beer kits for my birthday and was very disappointed with it. It leaks more than the cheap non spring filler that came with my starter kit that I've used for 7 years now.

Response from Northern Brewer
Hi Gary- That's very unusual! The spring tip one ought to shut very securely, and should perform as well or better than the gravity-tip model. I'm guessing that something is wrong with that one, I will have a new one sent out to replace it. -Mike W, Northern Brewer

Huge improvement.
This thing is way better than the bottle filler included in the Brew. Share. Enjoy kit. I had trouble with that one so I bought this for like four bucks and saw immediate improvement. Why NB doesn't include this far superior design in their kits, I don't know.

Cheap but functional
It is cheap, but it works. Could be better. The spring tip was a bit wobbly which was annoying at times. The wand itself seemed a bit too long, making it unwieldy. Pressure from a 5 Gallon bucket caused the wand to leak out the end. Good enough though for the price. I'll use it again.

Much Improved
This worked ten times better than the gravity type that came with the home kit. Very much better but not perfect, still leaks a few times between bottles.

I have a 5/16" ID hose. Will this fit with it?

Does this come with tubing to connect it to the bottling bucket?

Thank you for your question. You will need to purchase the tubing to connect the bottle filler to the bottling bucket. I recommend the 3/8" ID siphon hose.

Does this work with the Small One Gallon Small Batch kit?
Justin S on Dec 29, 2016
BEST ANSWER: This tip is fool proof and dependable regardless of the batch size. I have used the same bottle filler for 25 or so 5 gal batches and have never had an issue. I do keep one or two spares on hand though just in case. They are an inexpensive, but crucial item to have on hand when bottling and if it were to malfunction, it would make a simple task a good deal more complicated.
is the filler long enough to use on 750ml wine bottles?
D K on Jan 14, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I haven't tried it for wine or a 750 size bottle but have with a 22 ounce beer bottle and there are at least an extra couple inches with the filler touching the bottom of the bottle.
Was curious what the diameter of the actual plastic tip is at the widest point--hoping to use with small bottles.
M A on Dec 9, 2015
BEST ANSWER: The tip is .523" diameter at its widest point. It will not fit through a 1.2" hole.
Does this fit the tube that comes with the brew share enjoy starter kit? And it fits standard bottles?

BEST ANSWER: Didn't know how much I needed this til I ordered one :)
Does this work with the Small One Gallon starter kits?
A shopper on Dec 29, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Yes, will work with any size fermenter. I've found it to be much easier to use than the crimps but it will clog easily if you have a lot of sediment - especially hops - in the beer you're bottling.
When do you plan to have this in stock again? Thanks
A shopper on Feb 14, 2018
BEST ANSWER: We are no longer carrying this version of bottle filler. Cheers!
Will it work with a Auto siphon?
A shopper on Jan 27, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I don't use my bottle filler in conjunction with an auto siphon. When bottling, I first siphon the beer from the fermenter into a 5-gallon pail equipped with a tap near the bottom. I then attach a short hose (3/8-inch inside diameter) to the tap on one end and insert the bottle filler into the hose's other end (it fits snugly). Then I allow gravity to take the beer from the pail down through the bottle filler into the bottles. This helps keep air bubbles out of the beer during bottling. Hope this helps.
what is the outside diameter of the top of the bottle filler?
A shopper on Sep 28, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Answer is in the product information, the bottom, black piece, is 1/2".
I lost the little black o-ring. Do you know the replacement size? Do you sell a replacement as well?
