A less expensive option . . .
that will work for many, if not most, is to buy a 3/4" x 1/2" female to female adapter and join the terminator directly to your hose or utility sink faucet. This option worked great for me and cost $7 at my neighborhood hardware store; no doubt it can be found for less at a box store or online.

Whatever your solution, you will need to flush out the inside of the Therminator. Don't spend a lot of coin on a great chiller and then let it become a jungle inside.

Plate Chiller - bringing your beer to the next level!
I just got one of these and used it for the first time on my last batch. OMG!!!! I chilled 10 gal of wort from 200 degrees down to 64 degrees in less than 10 minutes!!!! (I have very cold ground water, so I could have gotten it even colder! I had to slow the cold water flow to keep from overchilling my wort.... AMAZING!!!!) Anyone interested in keeping bad 'bugs' out of your wort NEEDS one of these!

I just saw this cleaner. I read years ago just to backflush the chiller to clean it so I'm wondering if that's good enough or if I should purchase one. I've never have had mine clog although I backflush, then flush in/out, blackflush again and I do that 3 times. I also use a pump for this cleaning.

An easy way to clean your Therminator
Makes cleaning the Therminator very easy.

Saves the time of making one yourself
This works great on the therminator and saves yourself the trouble of making one yourself. Sure, you could probably save a few $$$ by making it yourself but your better off saving money elsewhere and just get this and have it work. Invaluable when cleaning out your therminator.Frankly I'd rather have Blichmann raise the therminator price a few $$$ and include this since its more or less mandatory to clean the therminator out with.

Build you own, but...
Yes, build your own for cheaper as one of the reviewers here says, but I think they have something wrong.I just built mine and here's what I used:* 18 in of reinforced 1/2" ID vinyl tubing* 2 small hose clamps* 1, 3/4" FH x 1/2" Barb Swivel Hose Barb Adapter (attaches to a utility sink "male" fitting)(here's what is different) * 1, 1/2" FH X 1/2" Barb fitting adapter (attaches to either the wort-in or wort-out connection of the chiller)The 3/4" female head will only fit on the "water in/out" of the chiller, you want to flush the chiller's channeling for the wort--therefore you need a 1/2" fitting.

Make your own, seriously
You can get all the parts for this at Lowes or Home Depot. I built one similar for a little under $10.00. You need about 18 inches of reinforced 1/2" ID vinyl tubing and two 3/4" female garden hose connections. Add two 50 cent screw clamps and you are good to go. If you really want to cheap out, just use an old garden hose and ONE extra female fitting.

Functional but overpriced
Yes, it works great, but so would a $10 home made version. All it consists of is a garden hose fitting and a 1/2 inch threaded fitting connected by some garden hose.
