- 4.7 / 5.06 ReviewsGood starter Scottish AleNot a very bitter beer, unlike ESB let alone IPAs. A very different experience. Very malt forward with just enough bitterness to remind you it is beer. Best served fresh.December 21, 2017Purchased

7 months agoGreat beerThis is one of my favorite northern brewer kits. Rich dark and very drinkable. Liked by all who have tried it. Have a batch on now in primary.October 13, 2016Good brewBrewed a week and a half in primary and finished after four days. 1.010. First taste and it is super roasty. Has a nice malty backbone and slightly sweet. This will be delicious in a few more weeks.January 13, 2016Another Northern Brewer quality kitI have done 4 and my son has done 2 of Northern Brewers all grain kits and all of them have been excellent kits, fast service, and good drinking beers. This kit is still in the primary but I fully expect it to be another great beer.December 24, 2015
