Minnesotans know more about keeping warm than just about anybody in the world. That why we patterned our delicious Winter Warmer recipe after a famous locally brewed winter ale. This beer starts big and malty, and finishes with a warming alcohol note. It is hopped with spicy Willamette hops. Don't forget, a bottle of Winter Warmer makes a great stocking stuffer!

Due to the high starting gravity of this kit, we recommend pitching multiple packs of yeast or preparing a yeast starter for best results.

This Winter is Warmer than I had expected

Recipe is straight forward. No glitches on brew day. My OG came in a little lower than target. I made a yeast starter the day before and had bubbling in the lock the following morning. Fermentation went pretty quick and I transfered to secondary fermenter at day five. The yeast flocculated nicely. Bottled at day 18 or so. Bottle maturation went well. Beer tastes pretty darn good. Very drinkable, no off flavors.

Kedeping warm inside

Tomorrow I will transfer Winter Warmer to 2nd fermenter for it6's 2 weeks rest. Color is good. Yeast worked good. OG came in a couple degrees above the instructions stated...that's good too. This is my 3rd Warmer. I expect it to be as good as the others.
