make a big starter for this yeast & it will deliver.ferment in low 50's .medium gravity brews 1.040-1.050 it should finish up by day 12-13,then start dia-cell rest.this yeast will reproduce those clean crisp lite lagers like labatts &millercoors.

stop suffering.
I was slightly skeptical about the construction of the dark star burner because of the low cost, and boy am I ever so glad that I was wrong .The quality is outstanding and works great in almost any tempature. The dark star also heats up 6+ gallons of wart quickly and efficiently. I would recommend this burner to anyone who is going to do a full 5+ gallons of beer as it does an excellent job. It is well worth the price and solidly constructed.

Received my yeast and quickly stuck it in the fridge. Ready to brew when I noticed the nutrient pack had already been opened. Shook the bag and tried to warm the little guys up no activity. Glad I checked before I started on the batch.

Got this free with a promo on spending over x amount of $. Used it three times and did nothing but blacken my kettle. After each use I tried to check for leaks and tried to adjust the air damper. But nothing worked. My turkey fryer has done such a better job than this due to fact I don't have to clean a heavily soot covered pot at the end of my brew day.

How long does this yeast last? I purchased recently and the date stated Jun 16 on the front. Inactive after day two. No Co2 fermentation bubbles.
