These carboys are great for cleaning and being able to see your brew ferment away. I will admit they are on the heavy side but what should one expect from glass. All in all I own 2 and will continue to stock up over time. I agree with the other review that when you use starsan the stoppers must be fairly dry to stay in the carboy but after they are they stay in very well. (Posted on 9/26/12)

Empty, these are pretty heavy. Full, I have to walk them. I did drop one once while I was washing it and it didn't break (hallelujah!) so I'm not sure where people are getting "fragile". I think you'd have to drop it from a story high onto cement to break it since the glass is so thick. (Posted on 5/26/12)

This is your standard carboy, very robust, but don't drop it (obviously). One complaint that I would have would be that if you use star san, the neck gets slippery, and does not hold onto a new Carboy Bung for Glass Carboys - Drilled (SKU: 7081). Once you use the bung, it holds from then on. (Posted on 1/18/12)
