Details
You'll siphon your finished beer into the pin just like you would a 5 gallon ball lock keg, but instead of using co2 you'll add priming sugar to carbonate naturally. Then when you are ready to serve, just attach the cask tap assembly and pour directly from the pin. Includes one set of spiles and bungs. We recommend a k369 keystone bung, k367 shive bung, k319 hard spile, k320 soft spile for each use. Comes with complete instructions, also located here.
Cask beer is best consumed within a few days of tapping, as oxygen will slowly stale the beer.

I brewed a Brakspear Bitter clone from "Brew Your Own Real British Ales" and invited over a bunch of friends to help me finish of the 5.4 gallons of ale. The beer turned out amazingly well and everyone had a great time. Surprisingly we kicked the cask in just 60 minutes.Rating
The kit itself was really good and included almost everything I needed. The one missing piece is a solid wooden mallet to drive the bungs as well as tap the keg. I recommend picking up something at least 20 ounces in weight.
I'll be putting this setup to good use at parties, festivals, and other events. (Posted on 1/29/12) - Well Made and Fun for Parties Review by Twoskis Brewskis

I have used this kit for 3 beers now and have had great success. There is not a ton of info on using these so I recomend watching the BTV videos on cask filling and dispensing as well as getting the Cellermanship book. (Posted on 1/10/12)Rating
