Make your own tap-handle by drilling a 1/2" hole to a depth of 5/8". Screw this brass insert into the hole. This provides standard tap-handle threads that will allow your homemade tap handle to fit on any standard faucet.

- great item but not true to size Review by ryan

these are a very useful piece and open up a lot of options but the sizing is off. 1/2 is too small for anything solid. go up 1/8" or more to avoid splitting (Posted on 2/15/12)Rating - Not as simple as described Review by Fdiddy

Depending on the installation (softwood, hardwood, etc) the hole required will differ. Also, if installing into a narrow piece of wood, cracking is pretty likely. If I were doing this again, I'd buy the same part from Rockler or buy any part that has a 3/8 - 16 thread inside that will fit a tap bolt. (Posted on 10/18/11)Rating
