The Bridge Burner pours a deep, fiery amber with a rocky off-white head. The assertive aroma is dominated by dry, earthy American hops: citrus, floral and pine tree notes all make a showing. The hops dominate, lending a hefty bitterness to the palate, but are backed up by the caramel malts, which lend a substantial body without any extra sweetness. A warm alcohol burn finishes it off with a nod to its considerable ABV. Since the opening of Northern Brewer Milwaukee in 2009, Lakefront Brewery has been a collaborator on a number of projects. This beer kit is the result of a close working relationship with Lakefront’s expert brewers.

Very good, not quite the real thing Review by Matt
Just opened a bottle of the real thing that I had been saving for a side by side comparison. Mine definitely turned out darker but I'm fairly sure that is due to the extract used in the recipe. I will try the all grain version of the kit next time. Mine also finished up just under 10% ABV. This has a bit thicker mouthfeel than the real thing, I'd describe it as having a little bit of extract twang although that may be process related rather than kit related. The real thing tastes cleaner. This is a really good beer, I would have rated it a 5 if I didn't have the real thing to compare it to. I used two packs of US-05 for this beer. I will definitely try it again and see what differences brewing the all grain version makes as the original is an amazing beer. (Posted on 1/2/15)
Dark, well balanced BW Review by piercho
Mine turned out quite dark like a stout. Bitterness is balanced and goes down easier than other BW and Imperials I've brewed. Highly recommended. (Posted on 5/15/14)

This is great the flavor has mellowed to the best tasting barley wine style beer I have ever had. The only proplem is waiting for it to age , most of mine were tatsted before it had a chance to age. I know the price is up there but do your self a favor brew it and but it away for 6 months then be in heaven when you have one (Posted on 1/21/13)

Full flavor and hoppy Review by Nagahyde
My first attempt at a Partial Mash, and probably the most money I've spent on a kit. I used two packets of liquid yeast and had it on the keg and pouring just 11 days after brewing. Easily one of the best I've made in two years of brewing. Got it kegged in time for a party and everyone that had it told me the same. The flavor is unique and deserves a try. (Posted on 1/17/12)
