Details

Literally, "white beer," this Belgian wheat beer got its name because of its cloudy haze (it's actually straw-gold in color). The smooth mouthfeel, grainy flavor, and massive head retention of wheat malt meets dry and phenolic Belgian witbier yeast and the tart, enticing character of coriander and bitter orange peel – very complex and delicate. An appealingly crisp, dry, and refreshing alternative to generic warm-weather lawnmower beer.

Witbiers not for me Review by matthew

Great product, arrived quickly with no issues. I don't think Witbiers are for me. (Posted on 10/7/13)
Great brew Review by Tim

Really like this beer. Came out great. 10 days primary, 18 days secondary, bottled and after only 5 days conditioning, it taste great. Similar to the Hefeweizen but slightly lighter. More like a Blue Moon clone. (Posted on 7/12/13)

I like this beer to do my experaments with and a 3lbs honey addition to this one and make a world of difference. (Posted on 11/21/12)
Perfect Wit for my palate Review by Roscolio

This is a very clean tasting Wit, and the orangepeel/coriander additions aren't overwhelmingly fruity. This is the perfect summer beer for me to share with a wide variety of friends, and still enjoy the crispness of myself.

I also have to commend Northern Brewer for crushing the grain to my specifications, I had great efficiency. (Posted on 4/23/12)
Average Witbier Review by Dmitri

I find the AG version more pleasant than the extract one, but still quite average. It isn't bad tasting, has a very pleasant color and a luxurious fluffy head, nice nose, but it just isn't anything special. Pretty good for these hot summers, but don't expect a mind-blowing tasting experience from this one. (Posted on 8/5/10)
