Product details

Introducing the Reactor Stainless Steel Conical Fermenter, our next generation of fermenter for the avid homebrewer. Chock full of features, the Reactor will revolutionize your fermentation process from pitching to sampling, packaging, and cleaning. Solid 304 stainless steel construction makes the Reactor durable, light-proof, and incredibly easy to clean.

The conical bottom of the Reactor allows for yeast and excess trub to settle out of the finished beer or wine ensuring only the clearest product remains for packaging, while the adjustable racking arm allows for easy sampling during active fermentation and makes bottling or kegging a breeze. Boasting a large capacity of 8.5 gallons ensures enough headspace for even the most vigorous of fermentations, while the embossed volume markings provide simple volume measurement with a quick glance.

The wide opening and integrated bottom dump valve make cleaning the Reactor a quick and easy job - no need to invert the fermenter to empty the contents, simply open the bottom valve to drain cleaning solution and rinse water. The lid features a removable silicone gasket to ensure an airtight seal while the clamps firmly latch the lid to the body of the fermenter. Comes complete with a stopper for a turnkey fermentation experience.

Reactor Stainless Steel Conical Fermenter Includes:

  • Reactor conical fermenter main body
  • Lid with removable silicone gasket
  • Size 5 drilled rubber stopper
  • Racking arm assembly
  • Bottom dump/cleaning valve
  • Replacement gaskets for racking arm assembly

Love this fermenter. Easy to clean easy to get started with. Not too terribly heavy when full. I wish it came with some direction as to tubing and attachments that should be used or other things. I'm just jumping from using several 1.4 gallons to this so there's a lot to learn.

Steel conical fermenter

I like it. I think I would like the square stock legs better, but what it has works fine.
I’m happy with mine and recommend this fermenter.

Haven't brewed with the Reactor yet!

I liked what I saw when I unboxed this unit, but I haven't yet brewed with it - looking forward to having some time to brew around the holidays!

Sturdy, easy to use.

I just bottled my first batch out of it and I'm quite pleased. I just started brewing and decided to spend a little extra to get some quality equipment. I have no regrets.
The valves at the bottom make cleanout and transfer trivial and it's well built.
I would have liked some more explanation on how to prep and use the racking arm, but I managed to figure most of it out on my own.
It has drum characteristics so if you're keeping it in the house and your airlock is going crazy it may produce undesired noise. I muted it by putting some weight on the lid.
I still have a lot to learn, but if my brewing volume increases I'm already figuring on getting another one.
