Way better than using a bung!

Awesome
Awesome product! Better than using an airlock, just cap the Carboy, and attach a blow off hose

Great Product
Can't say enough good things about these Carboy Caps. It's true that the interior on some of these can be rough, but I always get a good seal when used with hose clamps.

Must-have item
I love my carboy caps. I have one for every carboy and they are so handy. Another use I find for them is when sanitizing and rinsing, I can fill the carboy with a gallon of solution, cap it and shake easily with a perfect seal that's more reliable and easier than an undrilled bung. I also highly recommend the carboy handles for increased safety when man-handling carboys.on a side note, I'm a little surprised by the suggested siphon technique of blowing into the cap. It's awesome, and I'd never thought of it. Generally speaking isn't breathing or blowing into your wort/beer ill-advised? I hope they gargled with Wodka or something ;) The mouth is the second most fertile place for nasties going, second only to your beer!

The little things
I love these things. I always felt like bungs weren't snug enough so I use these guys in their place. You can fit an airlock in one of the holes and leave the white plug on the other... at least that's how I use them. :)

Use It
Love it. I was trying to siphon out of the carboy without one of these and I was having a hard time. This removes all the problems and the wort transfers in seconds.

Better than a bung
These carboy caps are fantastic. 1/2" tubing fits over the off set hole for any easy blow-off solution.

Great with a thermowell
These things are excellent when coupled with a thermo-well. I use have my thermowell inserted into the center hole which results in a tight enough fit to be airtight. I then connect tubing to the offset holes for my blow off and drop the other end in a container of vodka. Works much better than a bung and airlock and allows me to monitor the temperature of the center of the wort instead of just the outside.

Great with a thermowell
I really like that it is tall. So alot less problems with boiling over. I wish they made them even slimmer and taller cause I'd rather use an 8 gallon one so to get the boil going faster. I have a 10 gallon and 8 gallon mega pot 1.2. But the 8 gallon one still has a good chance of boiling over. So I mainly use the 10 gallon megapot 1.2.

Awesome
This kettle is everything it is advertised to be. The heating is even, the handles stay cool, and it is easy to handle. I started doing part boils at 3 gallons, but the rest of the kettle looked so lonely, so I rock out the full boil and still there is plenty of room to let a good roll go without worrying too much about boilover. However, be careful with the o-rings when sealing the thermometer... my first full boil ended up with a drooling drip that formed a sugary brown beard on the bottom of the pot as it dried and crisped. I found some thicker rings to use, as the thin ones do not quite compensate for the curve of the pot. Other than that, I don't plan on buying a new pot, this one is solid, and the price was right.

can I push co2 in through this cap to push beer out through a wand?
B K on Jan 15, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Yes you could do that. I would suggest using a hose/worm clamp to hold the bung securely to the carboy- sometimes these don't have the best seal...
If I want to use this to attach a blowoff tube, what size tubing can I use?
N A on Aug 3, 2016
BEST ANSWER: You could put a piece of 5/16" tubing into the smaller inlet, or you could attach a piece of 3/8" tubing to the center stem of a 3-piece airlock, and place it in the larger inlet, the one that is sized to hold an airlock securely. - Mike W, Northern Brewer
Will these fit your one-gallon glass jugs?
M A on Jul 16, 2016
BEST ANSWER: No, but these will fit onto the 3, 5, 6 and 6.5 gallon glass carboys we currently sell. There is no similar "cap" for the one-gallon jugs. A #6 stopper, or a 38mm Screw-cap will fit on the jug. -Mike W, Northern Brewer
