Agreed - Do your homework first
I agree with the previous review by Marc, although I did give it 5 stars. My local fire extinguisher shop only wanted to see that it was new and not made in China, and he gladly filled it without the sticker.

Well constructed, sturdy and beautifully functional
If you can manage to hang onto this well designed cylinder, and not exchange it when refilling, you will be proud to have this in your kegging setup. This cylinder works nicely with the "Governor" with good fitment. Cheers!

CO2 Cylinder
The CO2 cylinder came with the plastic mesh, which is great for the refill bottle when it's cold. That's one damn sexy stainless steel CO2 cylinder!

Good product
This came as advertised. Once I finally found a fire extinguisher company in my area, I had no problem getting it filled. The nice thing, which my CO2 provider pointed out, is that this came with an updated hydrostatic test. CO2 canisters need to be tested very 5 years, and it costs about $15-$20, so it's good that NB (or the manufacturer) took care of it shortly before shipping.

Good but do your homework first...
Came as advertised although without a CO2 label (reason for 3 stars) which some gas shops may require (fortunately mine did not but I will be getting one in the future). Not sure why one could not be put there for the price. Check your local CO2 refillers and make sure they will fill your new bottle - some will only do exchanges so it may not be worth it to buy new.

How much co2 does a 5.25 lb cylinder hold?
D L on Apr 12, 2016
BEST ANSWER: CO2 is sold by weight, so they will put 5 lbs of liquid CO2 into those tanks when they fill them. The pressure will vary with the temperature, so it's more accurate to judge how much is in a tank by the weight. A 5-lb tank of CO2 should be able to force-carbonate and serve 8 to 10 five gallon kegs of beer. -Mike W, Northern Brewer
