Does it's job, but leaks. Review by Joshua
This definitely provides the oxygen the yeast needs to do it's work. My only concern is that when i set the dial to a full off position and screw it on tight, the oxygen is audibly discharging. I dunno if I got a defective unit or whatever, but I pretty much have to just screw the O2 tank in and out to utilize this product. I use the recommended disposable O2 tank. It's aggravating, but it isn't preventing me from using the product. (Posted on 3/19/15)
This is the greatest thing ever Review by Benjamin
So first I tried shaking, my back obviously didn't like that. So then I begged friends to help me shaking, that wasn't fun either.

This is, hands down, the best way to add oxygen quickly to a batch. For this price plus a small disposable can of O2 (got mine at Lowes) I'm done instantly. This is about a 100 times better than the aquarium pump which I could never really get working well. (Posted on 2/23/15)
Brilliant! Review by Jeremy
Show your yeasties the love they deserve. This beats the heck out of shaking your carboy forever and a day to get it properly oxygenated. This gets it done in less than a minute with just a dip of the magic wand! I have used it on my last four batches of beer and I can tell the difference. Within an hour the yeast are in full swing and I believe it has helped with the overall flavor. Worth the money! (Posted on 2/12/15)
Works great and simple to use Review by Peter
I actually think it's pretty inexpensive, $50 and a disposable tank and you're set to oxygenate. Been using mine and the results are great so far. I started using lactic acid to adjust my mash PH at the same time I started aerating so I can't say what did what but my beer is definitely cleaner tasting than ever. Even that aside, not having to shake my filled fermenter for one minute is worth it alone! I'd give this 4.5 stars if I could since I think it loses half a star since the pin (inside the regulator) comes loose after a few uses and needs retightening. I didn't know where the recent leak was coming from and thought the barb maybe needed tightening but nope. Then after one more time connecting a removing the O2 tank the whole pin assembly fell out onto the table. Luckily it's very simple to put back together - put o-ring in, metal washer, then screw on pin, then tighten pin with a wrench. No more leak. Mine also came with the hose clamp as seen in the picture so I haven't had any issues with the wand detaching from the hose. (Posted on 2/9/15)
Works great! Review by Michael
A very nicely made product that works great. All you have to do so that the tube does not slip is pinch the clamp another notch, not an issue at all. 4 stars instead of 5 because I wish the stainless wand was longer so I didn't need to put the plastic tubing in the carboy in order for the stone to reach the bottom. The brass valve is top quality and allows you to regulate the flow of oxygen simply and steady. (Posted on 1/13/15)
Very Good Product Review by Jim
This would be a great product if the metal wand were longer. You really need a longer wand (say 22 in. or longer) to easily reach the bottom of a carboy. (Posted on 1/5/15)
Oxygenates Wort Review by Josh
Weird how this item has a 4.5+ star average and no 3-star or worse reviews, when I gave it a 3 star review a couple months ago. The tubing is too large, so not all of your oxygen makes it down the wand. Also, the regulator seems to leak. I have to disconnect my oxygen tank between uses, otherwise the tank will drain completely. I definitely regret purchasing this item, even though with the modifications I've made, I've experienced better fermentations. I wish I had bought a different regulator. (Posted on 12/5/14)
works great Review by jacob
If you have used an aeration stone on the end of a hose and had trouble getting the air filled hose to the bottom of your fermenter this is the thing for you the long thin metal tube goes straight down no floating or wrapping around the sides (Posted on 11/29/14)
Ordering a blow off tube is in my future Review by Josh
Used this for the first time yesterday with the Feativus Miracle and safale s-04 ale dry yeast and my air lock was over flowing in less than 24 hours. So much for no needing a blowoff tube in a 6.5 gallon carboy for a 5 gallon batch. lol I would highly recommend this item! (Posted on 11/17/14)
Great Product Review by Jonathan
I've been using this for over a year and it works as advertised. After I use it I rinse, give it a quick sanitizer dip then seal the stone in a zip-loc and put it back with the rest of my brew stuff. Well worth the price. (Posted on 11/6/14)
Barbed wand end needed Review by John
I have used this on a few brews and I feel like it is getting the job done very well. My one complaint is rather big I suppose. The connection from the hose to the wand is a problem. The wand just slips in and out of the hose with little resistance. On first use my wand shot of into my full carboy requiring me to rack and rerack my my brew to retrieve the wand... Luckily I had a spare carboy or I would've been out of luck till the next day. Make sure when using you pinch the hose and the wand. The current design only lets you get the wand about 3-4 inches deep into a better bottle because even the slightest air pressure send the wand flying. Wand needs a barbed end or some sort of hose clamp. (Posted on 9/22/14)
Helps make better beer. Review by musicman
After going all grain, I found it very difficult if not impossible to aerate with the traditional shake method. I looked at a pump system but didn't want to add another hour or so to my brew day. This works great and my beers are better because of it. I wont brew without it again. It loses a star for the loose connection from the hose to wand which leaks and wastes oxygen. A barbed end where the hose attaches would make it 5 stars. (Posted on 8/24/14)
Works great Review by Tim
This unit fits the red disposable O2 cylinders available from most hardware stores. The threading of the tanks seems to be backwards, so tightening the regulator on the tank is the opposite of the normal direction. I thought it didn't fit for several minutes after turning it in the conventional direction. I got a good chuckle when I realized the thread orientation. Once the tank is on the seal is tight and leak proof. I blasted my first beer for about 45 seconds and got a nice foam cap on top of the beer. I pitched my yeast (Nottingham ale, dry) and had airlock activity in about 5 hours, which is faster than my past experience with this yeast and beer combination. This was MUCH easier than rocking the carboy and worth every penny to me. (Posted on 7/6/14)
Air lock is active after 3 hours Review by Smokey
I was a little unsure about this purchase as it is not cheap for what you feel you are getting (a regulator/tube/wand). I went to Lowes and got a disposable O2 tank for $10 and today used this product for the fist time. I had a nice layer of foam on top of the beer in about 4 seconds I let it run for 90 seconds in total (quicker than shaking and a lot less effort) I then put the air lock on and me and my wife went out to dinner and when I came home about 3 hours later I had regular activity in the air lock using Safale S-04 yeast and no yeast starter this shows me that this product works as advertised - I will shake carboys no more my friends if you can afford it get it, if $50 is a lot for you then you may be happier with more beer than another new brew toy as my beer always came out good, but why not take it to the next level if you can is that not why we do this to say mine is better - and that's because it is.
