in my opinion these muslin bags are an essential and should be a part of any brewers emergency kit. i use these for hops and grains, they reduce clog ups with less debris and mess than without them. i wash and re use them but keep a few extra on hand just incase. (Posted on 1/25/14)
Inexpensive and work great Review by Todd

I brew about twice a month, extract with specialty grain recipes, and I use thes for my grains and hop additions. They are inexpensive and work well steeping my grains and keeping alot of the residue from the hop pellets out of my wort. (Posted on 1/20/14)

I've used these for adding hops to the boil as well as dry hopping. They can be reused if you want to take the time to clean them up a bit. For the cost you have to way out if it's worth your time or not. Get a 10-pack! (Posted on 12/16/13)

Great for pellets hop additions. Saves time straining out all the roughage left behind. Also good for steeping grains. (Posted on 11/23/13)

What a Convenience Review by Don chee

I brew a lot of one gallon all grain recipes and these bags are the perfect size. Helps save a step in the sparge and makes the entire process easier. Definitely recommend these over a straining bag because you can just toss in the trash instead of trying to clean it out. Get the 10 pack (Posted on 11/10/13)

After switching to all grain, I use these at the end of my kettle hose when sparging. My false bottom tends to let some grain through even after a long vorlauf. The bag gives me a extra insurance for keeping grains out of my wort. My wort is always completely grain free. (Posted on 9/14/13)

I use these every single time I brew. Review by matt

While I use more sturdy, reusable bags for grain steeping, these single use sacks are perfect for hop boils and dry hopping. If I didn't own other sacks for steeping, I'd use these for grain as well. I'm perfectly pleased with their performance. (Posted on 8/28/13)

These are great to use during the boil because it helps avoid clogging the counter-flow chiller. Also a must have for dry-hopping. Cheap and very useful. (Posted on 8/13/13)

These are so convenient. I brew with extracts and specialty grains and have found it best to not put more than a half pound per bag so the grains get fully utilized. Also, don't forget to reuse your spent grains - there are some great recipes out there! (Posted on 7/27/13)

I put an ounce of pellet hops in one of these bags to dry hop my Denny's Rye IPA, and not a single piece of the hop pellets made it outside the bag. (Posted on 12/13/11)

Have used these for grains (extract with specialty grain kits) and recently for hops, I bought a 10 pack because I was sick of wasting so much wort because of hop sludge. Now there is near zero hop sludge and I get much more of my wort, hence better beer. The price adds almost nothing to the cost of making beer. Will always have these in stock for my brewing needs! Yep, it works Review by Dan

Worked great for my first partial mash, kept in the grains and the pellet hops really well, leaving a beautiful beer. (Posted on 4/18/11)
quality bag Review by Steve

Have used bags from other suppliers but these are just right for grain OR hops. For Hops, I tie the open end closed, cut in half, and use each half for 1-3 oz of hops. These keep the majority of the hops inside the bag while allowing the hops to do it's thing! These bags are FINER in size than many others. (Posted on 12/31/10)
