Used this in black ale today. Loved the rich malt flavor and great nose. I will have to say that this really helped make my black ale truly black. (Posted on 1/14/14)

Created a great stout with flavor of chocolate, coffee, caramel and roasted grains. OG was 1.070 and final was 1.018 (with a little lactose). Will definitely use again. Even with the higher ABV the falvor was remarkable with no traces of the higher alcohol. Great product! (Posted on 9/28/11)
A solid choice for stouts Review by DMEasy

Used 6.6 lbs. of NB Dark Malt Syrup for a batch of dry stout. I have been doing research and brewers have stated that dried extract is the way to go, but I gave the house brand syrup a shot. I was pleased I did. This syrup performed impressively during the boil, did not stick nor scorch on the bottom of the pan. It provided a smooth, malty flavor that was fresh, slightly sweet and dry. Delicious. AND economical. (Posted on 11/5/10)
