Get the upgrade Review by Christopher
Like others, mine warped and broke after on a few uses. The replacement blades do not work for this model. Definately buy the SS one, I know I wish I did! (Posted on 8/17/12)
SNAP Review by Henry
be very careful with this or it will break during use, it did serve me faithfully until then (Posted on 5/3/12)
Not very durable Review by brett
Used this stirrer/mixer maybe 4-5 times and it snapped where the metal core meets the plastic. Also, one of the wings broke after the first use and was stuck in a semi open state, although it was still usable. NB should stop selling this useless tool. (Posted on 2/23/12)
Fragile Review by Josh
I managed to break this before attaching it to my drill. Has the tensile strength of a pencil lead. (Posted on 2/16/12)
Spend the extra $ for a stainless model! Review by Calvin
Okay for the money but the metal shaft came out of the plastic after only a few uses. Spend the extra $ and get the stainless one with replacable paddels. (Posted on 12/8/11)
A Bit Warped Review by WheresOurFish
This item does a very good job of mixing and aerating. Easily inserts into carboys. If attaching to a drill, start with a low speed setting or you can end up with a real mess. This is especially important if you just added any yeast nutrient/energizer, as you can end up with a foam-over.

The only issue I have with the plastic version is that it does not stay perfectly straight. With a little bend in the shaft you have to be carefull with your insertion angle, otherwise the off-axis spinning can cause the shaft to bang into the neck of the carboy. The faster your drill is set to spin, the more pronounced the warp will get. If I were to purchase another of these, I would likely spring for the version with a metal shaft to avoid the issue.
