Product details

Looking for an explosion of flavor that sure to tantalize your tastebuds? Look no further. Smoke Bomb delivers a 1 - 2 punch of smoky goodness through the use of smoked malt and smoky chipotle peppers.

Although it may seem a bit unusual, the dark, rich flavors of porter are the perfect pairing for chipotle peppers. The peppers have a dark, dried fruit character that draws out the flavors of crystal malt, while the smokiness of the peppers adds depth and complexity to smoked malt. Add in subtle notes of roast and bittersweet chocolate delivered with a spicy kick and you got yourself a bold brew that sure to raise a few eyebrows.

Enjoy a recipe that clinched the Silver Medal at the highly competitive 2013 National Homebrew Competition.

Very Strong Smoky Chipotle Taste

I loved it, but my wife and friends, not so much. An acquired taste!

Hot Smoked Chipotle Porter

Brewed the beer per the instructions, however for the secondary conditioning I read to not overdue it with the Chipotle peppers and the recommendation of using two chilis and decided to see if I could overdue it. We love heat in this family. I used the entire one ounce package and let the chilis sit in the secondary for a full two weeks. I bottled the beer a little over two weeks ago. Finally got to try it this week and I'm really thrilled with how it turned out. Reminded me of the old Z Lager from the now defunct Fort Collins brewery with smokey goodness! It is the best beer I've brewed at home yet!

Surprisingly good

I was skeptical about a spicy beer, but the smoke bomb porter lives up to its name. It has a nice smoky Chipotle barbecue flavor and a slightly spicy after taste. 10/10

So tasty

I used half the peppers, seeded, and has just the perfect amount of heat yet flavorful. This is my new favorite Porter! Smokey, spicy, delicious.

Came out just as expected

Soaked only a few chilies for 24h and a beautiful slight afterburner that compliments the porter perfectly. Can’t detect any of the smoke flavor tho.
