I recently bought the Super Agata Bench Capper but I have a major concern. Each time I would cap a bottle, it would leak. I set the height according to the video and instructions but I also wasted over twenty caps. It seems that each time the bottle would leak, the cap was on the bottle a little lopsided. My concern now is that even though the bottles are not leaking liquid, will the seal be good enough to hold the carbonation gas as the beer is conditioning in the bottle? Please help.
Thanks,
Paul Baran

Best Answer: As long as the cap gets on flat and even, it should make a fine seal. If the caps seem to be on solid then they should have gotten a seal. My procedure for this capper is to put the cap in the bell, then lower the handle so that the cap and bell are on the bottle. Then cinch, it takes a little more work than if you had the capper preadjusted and just cap each one without raising and lowering the arm, but this way you can get the arm adjusted as close to the exact right height and make sure the cap is going to go on even. Could be missized caps so look out for that, instead of the capper.
